Good morning.This is an update to the thread going on about my original poor experience.I brought my vehicle back in as humbly requested by Ben, the general manager.Everything was taken care of nicely. They even washed my vehicle.Look, it's like this--mistakes happen. Running a business, especially a mechanic's shop, has a lot of moving parts. The original issue I had was poor communication; due to my expectations being different from what was originally communicated.The important aspect to realize is Yate's totally acknowledged they were in error.THAT by itself is the first reason why I retract my original sentiment about not going back to this shop. I most definitely will.The next reason I plan to go back is because Ben was heart-felt apologetic about the situation and the events that transpired. This guy cares, man! Where are you going to find that mentality these days? He could've easily dismissed me, but he didn't...he spent a precious hour of his day profusely apologizing and asking me to give them a second chance, for which I did.Look, sh*t happens. What's important is they stand behind their product--which is their service. I'd like to publicly say thanks again, to Ben, for going the extra yard to truly prove to me that your company indeed does care about your customers. All of the thank you letters on your walls do hold water in my book.Thanks.-Nick

This is an update to my last review on Yates. After my review and repeated request to talk to the owner, the service manager (Ben) called me to find out what went wrong with my experience. Ben politely and professionally listened to me, didn't make excuses and suggested ways to remedy the situation. After our conversation, I decided to give Yates a second chance and finish the repairs that they had started. I'm VERY glad I did, they fixed the car perfectly (ahead of schedule even), coordinated with me every step of the way, and at a very fair price! Ben even called me after I had picked up the car to see if everything was working properly and up to my expectations. I must say that my opinion of Yates has done an about face and I would fully recommend them. This whole situation could have been averted if the management was informed of my situation via some other means other than reading it here. Communication is king and Yates redeemed themselves in this department and overall. Take your car to Yates and you won't be disappointed.

This is my new favorite and only auto shop in the area. I took my car in because I had a flat tire. I had a flat tire that only a week before was "fixed" with a patch at a local Midas. I had used the website's appointment scheduling tool. Rob called me back within a couple hours and told me I could bring the car in any time the next day (He called me Friday afternoon, I took the car in Saturday morning). I had said that I didn't know if the tire was still good and could be fixed or if I needed a new one, but whatever he found out would be fine with me. I practically set myself up to be taken advantage of.I dropped the car off the next morning and found the nicest staff and shop. The location was right across the street from the metro, which was a bonus. I came to find out that all those web requests get immediately emailed directly to Rob's smartphone, the guy is just slammed with these requests, but he gets back to everyone as quick as he can. The whole time he and the staff were nothing buy friendly and helpful. He called me back a couple hours later to let me know that he fixed the previous faulty patch and that I wouldn't need a new tire. He not only fixed it for half what the other company originally charged me, but he made a nice note on my invoice describing the problem and why it was faulty in case I wanted to go back and talk to the original shop. Good people. Clean shop. Honest work. This is my new go to shop.

Twice in the last couple of years, I've been stopped by the police for having a blown headlight. I purchased the bulb at the local auto parts store, but unfortunately they couldn't (or wouldn't) install it for me. Both times, I went over to Yates and James installed the bulb in.....ummmmmm......maybe 6 SECONDS (seriously). NO CHARGE! This may not seem like a big deal to some, but it is to me! I've had other work done on my car at Yates and have always been pleased with their service and workmanship.These are great guys.....from the front desk staff to the technicians, they're all very knowledgable, friendly and ULTRA professional.

Never met a better looking, more professional group of employees. If you thought twice it would be hard to determine who owned the place, since they all have that same winning attitude. If you get James at the front desk he will work harder than most to save you money and get you on the road. I HIGHLY recommend this place for all your automotive issues. I like what the guy said about it seems like a gas station out of the 1950s - it true is.

I'm a fan for life. Last July I moved to the area and wasn't familiar at all with shops around here. My car was making a weird noise, so I took a chance with Yates. Got my car back the next day and it was only an $85. I'm always worried about getting duped into paying for services I don't really need. There are tons of shops closer to me than Yates, but I'll go to Yates every time.
