I am one of those people that only give 5 stars when the service is truly exceptional. I worked on my own cars until I moved to the DC area in a townhome where the HOA didn't allow you to work on cars. I started using Yates and every interaction with them has been good. I broke down after an oil change and without question they paid for a tow for me, arranged for a loaner vehicle, and got my car in the shop. Even though the repair ended up being difficult, a timing belt broke catastrophically, they have done everything they can to get my car back together against the clock. These guys are trustworthy and do honestly care about the things that I do and take action to back it up

Amazing results! Yates Automotive does car detailing right at Braddock Road as part of the Automotive shop so I'm leaving review here. My Jeep Wrangler is 16 years old and probably only washed when Yates did repair work and gave me complimentary wash. I decided to get it detailed and the results blew me away. The Jeep looks new!! The hard top was gray ash color when I took it in due to neglect and now it's restored back to shinny black like when I bought it. So impressed with the transformation. Wish I had taken before and after pics. Thank you Jason Yates, Arron and Conner!

EDIT: After posting my review (which I've left below), I received a call from Tony at Yates to talk about the disappointing experience I had. He understood why I was unsatisfied and made things right. I'll say this about Yates: when they do make a mistake, they are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and your car is running. You can't ask for more than that from a business. Details: I brought my car in for a brake problem. The technician took a look at it and recommended replacing the master cylinder for $910. When I asked why it needed to be replaced, the technician told me they "couldn't find anything else wrong with the brakes, so it must be the master cylinder". I did some research online and discovered that other owners of my model had similar problems with their brakes, had gotten similar recommendations, and that replacing the master cylinder didn't actually fix the problem. It turns out that that there is a known problem with my model and the solution is unrelated to the master cylinder. I went into the shop and explained all of this, and the technician (a different one) agreed that replacing the master cylinder was unlikely to fix the problem. They then charged me $165 for the diagnosis.

Flat repair - in less than an hour! Very courteous staff, complimentary coffee, and price quote before they started.

Had one of the worst travel days of my life. Got a flat tire. Spare was flat too. Luckily the random gas station I was able to walk to was Yates Automotive. Despite knowing I had to take the car elsewhere due to my hotel booking they did what they could to help me. Connor deserves special recognition - this solid, stand up midwestern dude helped get my tire situation sorted and even drove me back to my car. You're definitely in good hands with Yates.

I always receive excellent service when I go to Yates. They have a great crew and I personally feel they are very honest in how they communicate and work with their customers. Gas is a little higher priced than I like but when it comes to repair and inspection, they are top notch.
