I took my car in to Yates to have a newly-lit maintenance light checked out. They quickly diagnosed this as needing a simple reset for a recent oil and filter change. They fixed this up for me free of charge in just a few hours.

I was very impressed with their professionalism and timely service and knew I was in great hands with their mechanics who correctly diagnosed my issue with my two rear wheel bearings of my Subaru needing replacing and my front and rear differentials needing servicing. I had two other mechanics from another place misdiagnose my problem so I was grateful to finally get at the root cause and address these potential safety issues. Now my car runs much quieter and smoother. I will absolutely return to their Kingstowne location for oil changes and their Braddock Road location for major maintenance.

I have been going to this location for about 4 years now to get my inspections and will be returning for routine maintenance soon. They have always been thorough and honest about what did or did not need to be done with my car and has kept great communication on processes from start to finish. The service is also fast and done with in a reasonable time and price.

I just moved in from Illinois a few weeks ago to the Alexandria area. I was looking around online on where to go for the vehicle safety inspection and emissions testing and found this place. I was hesitant to trust what people were saying online to do first when first moved to the area, so I called Yates Automotive and told them my situation and Will was able to get me in the same day as long as I got there soon as I hung up the phone. Both the emission and inspection testing were done within a half an hour about. I am beyond appreciative and this relieved my stress and got the testing done and over with so now I can go to the DMV to get the rest of the stuff done. Thank you!
