Alexandria VA auto repair

I really like this shop. The customer service is top notch and the work speaks for itself. They are accountable, service oriented, fair, and make every effort to make your experience convenient and worry free. They've stayed late for me, apologized for things that were inconvenient and gave accurate timeframes that managed expectations, and made accommodations that made life better when my car was indisposed. It's not the cheapest shop but I trust their work and that's worth something other than money. Locally owned, with integrity.

Called twice to ask questions about getting my car inspected and both time the phone was answered almost immediately and the men that answered were very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I asked about getting my headlights replaced and the mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and upfront about the possible complications. They said they will take a look and call me with a quote. I’ll update my post when I get the quote. So far very happy with my experience. :)

Dropped by unannounced when I found out my headlight was out. Joe got me in right away and Kris had it fixed in less than 2 minutes. In and out! They are amazing!! Thank you

One of the tail lights on my car went out this morning. I stopped by Yates Automotive to see if they could fix it. Joe fixed it in under 10 minutes and they only charged me the price of the lightbulb. Thank you, Joe and Yates!

***Yates Automotive*** is THE PLACE to take your car for service. There are many...a plethora... of decent auto repair shops in greater Alexandria, such as Georgetown Auto Service on E. Raymond Ave and Automotive Service Garage on N. Fayette Street but YATES AUTOMOTIVE is unsurpassed in customer service, quality work, and fair prices. I've been a customer of each auto shop listed above and I can't recommend Yates enough! There was a discrepancy of charges during my last visit for an interior cleaning. A miscommunication resulted in me getting charged more than I agreed to. I brought up the issue to the customer service team and the response from Yates was exceptionally courteous, professional, timely, and the team worked so hard to correct the discrepancy to ensure I was happy. Jason Yates even treated me to dinner!!! This area is so populated but they make sure to treat all customers like family. Sometimes, I'm a stickler. I can be THAT GUY. I don't usually leave reviews, but the Yates team deserves well above 5-stars. I WILL be returning for all my future automotive needs, and I hope these words will convince others doing some online-shopping for car service.

The Yates team always has treated my family well and is fair on their costs while offering exemplary service. I never would take my family's cars anywhere else.

Brought my car for emissions and what a fantastic service i received. Was in a hurry and they were understanding and had me out of there less than 30mins. Luis was great and i will be coming back and recommending to my family and friends.

Ricky, Jon, and Billy seriously helped a girl out when my window got stuck halfway down at 7:30pm on a Thursday. Not only were they able to fix the problem, they were able to put a smile on my face and a happy spin on a particularly terrible day.
