Although I have yet to have work done here, I was looking for a place to service my car before I took a long road trip and the staff here were incredibly helpful. Ended up not having to service my car, but they still gave me the same quality customer service they would have given to a paying customer. I recommend them!

I started having a slow air leak from one of my tires and brought it to Yates fully expecting to drop it off and pick it up the next day. To my surprise they stated they could check the integrity of the tire immediately to see if it was repairable at all. I waited not more than 15 minutes during which they found just a minor defect and did a tire seal. When i went to pay they told me to have a good day and sent me on my way. I insisted on paying but they would not accept! A friendly auto repair center that skimps on nickeling and diming the customer is a rare find these days. I will certainly be coming back to Yates in the future and will recommend them to others.

I've started using Yates for more than just getting gas. To a person, I have found everyone who works there to be both friendly and courteous. They went out of their way to help me with a recent car problem.....above and beyond any level of service I've ever experienced from a gas station. It has been so nice to find a group that is not only pleasant to work with, but gets the job done.

I've been going to Yates for over 20 years now and I would never go anywhere else. I cannot count the ways in which they outshine any other car place, from little things to big. Big: the always fix my car properly, charge fairly and have it ready on time. Big: when my father was in the hospital dying some years ago and my car started making terrible noises, I burst into tears while pumping gas...so the manager at the time came out, took my keys and said they'd take care of everything, then offered to drive me to Georgetown Hospital...they called later that day to say my car was fixed, they'd had it inspected and would be glad to pick me up under the terrible circumstances. This is a lot more than "service." They are unfailingly polite and addressed my aged mother so courteously that she's always called them "those darling boys at Yates." I feel as though Ben and his crew are old family friends and I trust them implicitly. Their work, their courtesy, their timely delivery of services....nothing could be better.

I absolutely love this place!!! The customer service is awesome and they are the most honest repair shop I've encountered. I will trust Yates for any future work to any of my cars! For excellent work from trustworthy people, Yates is the place to go!

Had my Pontiac worked on here twice; both times I found the staff to be knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. Pricing was fair, the work was performed as expected and completed on time. Would recommend to anyone who needs auto service.

HONEST MECHANIC Is not always easy to find but these guys are. Not only did they take the time to write down our concerns and issues we were finding but the went over exactly what they were going to do do. After the diagnostic they let us know again what all would be involved and gave us a detailed estimate of parts and labor. They are extremely honest and fair. We first took our car to a dealership that tried to pull one over on us for work that didn't need to be performed. We knew that there had to be someone better out there so looked to Angie's List for a review and they had it right.

Good morning.This is an update to the thread going on about my original poor experience.I brought my vehicle back in as humbly requested by Ben, the general manager.Everything was taken care of nicely. They even washed my vehicle.Look, it's like this--mistakes happen. Running a business, especially a mechanic's shop, has a lot of moving parts. The original issue I had was poor communication; due to my expectations being different from what was originally communicated.The important aspect to realize is Yate's totally acknowledged they were in error.THAT by itself is the first reason why I retract my original sentiment about not going back to this shop. I most definitely will.The next reason I plan to go back is because Ben was heart-felt apologetic about the situation and the events that transpired. This guy cares, man! Where are you going to find that mentality these days? He could've easily dismissed me, but he didn't...he spent a precious hour of his day profusely apologizing and asking me to give them a second chance, for which I did.Look, sh*t happens. What's important is they stand behind their product--which is their service. I'd like to publicly say thanks again, to Ben, for going the extra yard to truly prove to me that your company indeed does care about your customers. All of the thank you letters on your walls do hold water in my book.Thanks.-Nick
